Located in Escambia County, Pensacola, Florida the old North Hill Preservation District is a time capsule of beautiful homes built by an effluent business class that emerged in the port city of Pensacola during the mid- to late-19th century. Designated on May 9, 1983, this U.S. historic district contains approximately 425 historic buildings. Several buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Many of the old homes are still occupied by the descendants of the original builders. The North Hill Preservation Association, Inc., has been instrumental in restoring many of the old homes to their original grandeur.
