One thing I have not done is give visitors something for taking the time to view our website. A few will buy, most will leave undecided, and fewer still will return for another look. I think, I can improve the chances for a repeat visit if I give them something of value during their first visit. This could be a:
- Product such as a whitepaper, topic brief, heritage photograph portfolio, or other related item.
- Compilation of cultural and historical heritage organizations.
- Discount coupon for their second purchase
The following is a compilation of heritage organizations that could be integrated into a banner and live just above the Home page Footer. I might be able to get their logos, which would make for a better visual. However, I do not want to just add information unless we are sure it adds value.
Advisory Council on Historic Preservation
National Register of Historic Places
American Battlefield Trust
National Preservation Institute
Society of Architectural Historian
The Legacy Museum and National Memorial for Peace and Justice
In your experience and considering our architecture, where and how should a freebie be presented to visitors?
